A native of the Pacific northwest, Brennan grew up in small-town Oregon with a deep faith, appreciation for nature, and profound sense of justice for oppressed peoples. Mr. Silver served in the U.S. Marine Corps and saw combat in both Iraq and Afghanistan, ultimately attaining the rank of sergeant before returning home. Today he works in the field of mental health, where veterans hold a unique and sacred place in his heart.
